Wisconsin drinking culture real talk: This is a Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned.
Not an old fashioned you order in New York. Or Boston. Or at a trendy speakeasy that requires you to walk through a convenience store facade to get to. It’s what you get a dive bar in Oostburg, WI. Or at a Friday fish fry in Ashwaubenon, WI. How we make this drink is different than anywhere else.
Katie has been tinkering with this blend for 7+ years before releasing it as an official Yeti. Wisconsinites hold this particular cocktail in such reverence that this candle has to smell right. It’s neither sweet nor sour. It’s closer to a press. It’s a heavy pour of brandy muddled with the electric red maraschino cherries and a few dashes of bitters. And it’s garnished with an orange slice.
This candle is not patronizing and syrupy sweet. And it’s not an overwhelming punch of generic brown liquor. Rather it’s a complex blend of all the components of this classic cocktail. If you want sweet it burn it in the same room as our Ginger Ale Yeti. You prefer sour? Pair it with our Lemon Yeti or Pomegranate Bitters.
This candle is hand poured and contains 100% soy wax, a cotton wick, and premium fragrance and essential oils.
Soy burns remarkably clean and long- expect this guy to burn for 45-55 hours. And when it’s gone, simply wash out the jar with hot soapy water and use it to hold little treasures.
Scent throw: 3/5. This Yeti is great at setting the vibe without being overpowering. It's not an "in your face" strong blend like Whiskey Ginger as it's 100% soy wax, but it's a delightful mellow addition to your space.

CANDLE CARE
Let's talk about basic candle care.
1. Trim your wick - Before every lighting, trim the wick of your candle to about 1/4'' for a clean beautiful burn. You can use a fancy wick trimmer, a pair of scissors, or even just your fingers (which is what we do 99% of the time).
2. Let it burn- Allow the wax of your candle to melt to the edge of the container every time to ensure a complete and even burn. This prevents tunneling.
3. Never let a burning candle out of your sight. And don't burn it for more then 4 hours at a time.
4. Let it go- when only 1/4'' of wax remains in the jar, blow it out and clean it out with hot soapy water. Recycle it or repurpose the jar or tin.
